Google by Reading Level

Did you know that you can search Google by reading level? I think this can really help narrow down searches for students so the content is appropriate for their reading level. Here’s what you do.

1. go to Google.com and click on advanced search to the right of search box

2. Enter your keyword to search for and click on the pull down for reading level.  Here you can choose if you want to search all the reading levels, basic, intermediate, and advanced.  I like to select “annotate results with reading levels” because it will show you all three.

3.  When you click search the results come up and you can click on any level to see the websites at that reading level.
