University of Missouri – eThemes

As we come back from spring break, I have a website that I found to be quick and easy to use.  The University of Missouri created a website called eThemes.  This website is divided up into grade levels but has tons of resources on specific themes for each grade level.  When you find the theme you are looking for and click on the link there are a whole list of resources available for that theme.

Check it out! It is super cool and easy to use.  My favorite 🙂

Something fun

This week I have something that is just purely for fun.  We need that too, don’t we?

First is a fun website called ACME Label Maker.  Most of us remember some of the old label makers (not the new fancy digital ones) where you had to turn the wheel to the right letter and then punch, turn the wheel again.  You get the idea.  This website allows you to type anything in and then creates a picture to look like those old label makers.

The second one is Photovisi, a collage photo website.  You can upload your photos and create a collage with your pictures and add text or other features.  There are some fun layout and could be used as part of a presentation for your students.  No login required! You can check my collage below of my niece and nephew – they are pretty cute if I do say so myself.

Fur.ly

I bet you are thinking, “What the heck is fur.ly“? Here is a handy little tool to make your life a little easier.  Fur.ly  is a website that allows you to take multiple URLs (websites) and combine them into one web address.  Once you click on that URL it will allow you to scroll through all the websites you entered.  Want to see it in action? Check it out here

So, how can this make your life easier? Think about when you want students to check out multiple websites.  There is no more creating multiple links on your webpage or having students trying to type in the website to only get it wrong.  Check it out and give it a try, I think you’ll like it!
